*Lantern Festival 2023*

The Lantern Festival is a highly anticipated and distinctive celebration showcasing unique Asian characteristics, celebrated in numerous countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, China, and India. This captivating festival, known by various names and observed in diverse forms according to each country’s customs and traditions, mesmerizes hearts with a display of enchanting beauty illuminated by the flickering lights under the night sky.
The Lantern Festival is a stunning celebration characterized by vibrant and aromatic streets and shimmering lights which create a warm and joyful atmosphere. Lighting a candle during this festival symbolizes igniting hope and belief in life.
In 2022, the Lantern Festival made its debut at the site of the Ancient Sacred Buddhist Scripture Stupas Project (Dhammacetiya) of Hương Đạo Buddhist Temple, attracting thousands of visitors and garnering enthusiastic support from the local community.
This year’s Lantern Festival will again be held at Hương Đạo Buddhist Temple, 4717 E Rosedale St, Fort Worth, TX 76105. The festival will take place on the full moon days of August (calculated according to the Lunar Calendar), aligning with the solar calendar days of September 29 and 30, 2023. The 2023 Lantern Festival promises enchanting nights filled with vibrant colors, a heartwarming ambience, and a sense of love and community. The festival venue will offer a spacious and refreshing setting, creating a beautiful connection between the earthly realm and the sky above.
